This Home in a Pine Forest Is Fully Integrated With Its Surroundings...*

When first thinking of the word “integration,” you probably wouldn’t associate it with architecture and a pine forest. But in YOD Design Studio’s project Chalet 4.0, the creative design team has you doing just that.

Built with the environment in mind, the building stands on a screw base, helping it settle into the forest without harming trees or damaging any roots. The full building consists of two separate rooms connected by a common hall, complete with an additional guest house. Constructed with design elements such as rhythmic veneer lines to represent rows of pine trees outside and cow skin to symbolize the animals in the forest, Chalet 4.0 is a true masterpiece reflecting the natural elegance of its creative design and surroundings...*
