Good Nightmare...#50...The Bloody Benders...*

The Benders family, nicknamed "Bloody Benders", were attributed a series of murders from 1871 to 1873, after their escape. It was a family of settlers, possibly of German origin transplanted to Touwnship Osage, Kansas. The bodies and parts of bodies were found by some flying, they had been buried near the house of Bender. All buried individuals, except one, showed that they had been killed for the skull with a hammer and break-through with the cut. Although the sums of money offered for the capture, the family Bender was never traced...*
