Apple Brings Force Touch to the iMac With New Trackpad...*
In addition to announcing the new iMacs today, Apple has also unveiled new accessories for the computer. Alongside a fresh Bluetooth keyboard and mouse is a trackpad that boasts the company’s new Force Touch technology. While the keyboard and mouse come with the purchase of a new iMac, the trackpad is sold separately, retailing for $129 USD.
The Magic Trackpad 2 now runs on built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. The implementation of Force Touch accounts for the first time that the interface comes to the desktop hardware, as it has already been applied to the new Retina MacBook Pro and is of course featured on the iPhone 6s. The trackpad will allow users to take advantage of a series of pressure sensitive interactions, making maneuvering quicker and more convenient.
